The house comfortably sleeps 6 (2 queen beds and 2 single beds).
A 3 minute walk down the street will lead you to the lapping waters of St Georges Basin. Throw in a fishing line or launch a Stand Up Paddle Board and enjoy the beauty of the tranquil basin waters. Bimbala Cottage is centrally located to all of the other stunning beaches in Jervis Bay. All other beaches are located within minutes’ drive from the property including Hyams Beach which is a short, 9 minute drive away.

Yes. Bimbala Cottage provides linen, Microcloud bedding and bath towels ensuring that you will have the best night’s sleep.

Bimbala Cottage is equipped with all the creature comforts that will ensure you have a home away from home. A Nespresso Creatista coffee machine is a good way to start the day and we will include a sample of pods to get you going. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, fridge, dishwasher, utensils and crockery. The laundry has a washing machine, however a dryer is not provided. We have a clothesline around the side of the house. There is also a brand new BBQ in our outdoor gazebo. An outdoor shower is also provided to wash off the sand after a busy day of beach hopping.
A rumpus room with ping pong table and 80s arcade complete with 400 games that will keep the young and young at heart entertained for days. Fishing rods and 6 bikes are provided. Please email us ahead of time if you intend to use these and we will provide you with access details. A television with Netflix is also provided.
Whilst children are welcome at Bimbala Cottage, the house itself does not have any safety measures to protect children – such as gates to prevent falls from the front entrance stairs, nor the stairs leading into the rumpus room or outside. We request that children are supervised at all times, particularly whilst using the fireplace.
The fireplace is for use during the winter months. Instructions on how to use the fireplace are provided in the Bimbala Cottage Welcome Guide. You assume all responsibility and liability for use of the fireplace during your stay.
There is parking immediately in front of the garage on the property, and directly out the front on the grass. Please do not park in the garage, it is reserved for recreational amenity storage. We would ask that you also ensure that you are respectful of our neighbours and not park out the front of their properties.

The entrance to Bimbala has a few stairs, however it is largely all one level inside with the exception of a very small set of stairs leading down to the rumpus area. It is not a fully accessible property.

Unfortunately, we do not have a dedicated study area, however, the dining table is a large quiet space which is a favoured spot for working from home obligations. Wifi is provided at the property.

The Vincentia Marketplace is 5 minutes’ drive away or you could ride a bike there comfortably. There is a large Woolworths, Aldi, Chemist, Bakery and Butcher, and cafes as well as other specialty stores.
Absolutely! Please give us plenty of notice and we will work with you to accommodate your requests. For example, everything from in-house massage treatments to grazing platters can be organised or catering for special occasions. Just let us know what you have in mind.

Bimbala Cottage is a sanctuary and we welcome a discount to carers who are seeking respite from the demands of caring for someone with poor health or a disability. Please email us with your story and we will inform you of our discounts. One of our primary objectives is to give back to those who give so much, and it would be our pleasure to do that for you.
